This year, there is a girls’ rounders team in the school.

Mr. McMillian and Ms. Cross will attend a Rounders training course on Thursday 23rd March at Dunganny GAA Club.

All games begin on week beginning Mon 24th April.

Points to Note:

First named team in each pairing plays at home and provides a referee.
The rules to be followed are the official, updated GAA Rounders rules.
Gloves may be worn. They should be the standard GAA playing gloves (rule 7b).
Helmets are compulsory for pitcher and catcher (rule 7c).
There’s been a rule change in relation to subs. Five subs are now permitted instead of three.
Pitching distance is 7 metres (as agreed by Cumann na mBunscol na Mí)
Sliotar size: 4 (rule 33a)
Distance between bases: 20 metres (rule 33b)
